A romantic, hand painted jewel cask or boudoir ceramic box. Special attention was given to this hand painted courting scene using the technique of moriage, the addition of raised white accents.
In addition to gold detailing, the name "Rosa "has been added to the front of the lower section.
In excellent condition so if you or your beloved's name is Rosa.... this box is for you!
Stamped on the bottom with Limoges Severes, France
Lid: 7 1/2 inches wide and 4 1/2 inches deep
Base: 7 7/8 inches wide, 2 inches high and 5 inches deep
