This is an authentic, high-quality English George III mahogany sideboard of grand, estate-scale proportions, featuring a deeply contoured bow front.
The facade is faced in finely matched, highly figured flame mahogany veneers bordered by hand-segmented cross-banded veneers and delicate, hand-cut string inlay. The piece stands on elegant, slender tapered legs terminating in classic spade feet, accented by geometric stringing. The piece retains its original period Hepplewhite-style stamped brass oval backplates and bail handles. Fine, hand-cut dovetails featuring characteristic paper-thin pins and visible cabinetmaker scribe lines on the drawer sides.
