Designed around a continuous, curving silhouette, the sectional creates a natural gathering space while softening the architecture of a room. The broad corner section, generous proportions, and low horizontal profile give the piece the unmistakable presence associated with late 20th century American postmodern design.

The original upholstery features an energetic geometric textile composed of interlocking blocks in muted reds, blues, greens, lavender, and cream. The pattern evokes the playful visual language of the Memphis movement while remaining versatile enough to work within contemporary, eclectic, maximalist, and design-forward interiors.

Comfort was clearly a priority in its construction. Seat cushions retain their original down-wrapped cores, while the back cushions feature a feather and down blend, creating the deep, relaxed seating experience that made high-end Thayer Coggin upholstery a staple of luxury American interiors during the 1980s and 1990s.

Condition: Original upholstery remains present throughout and displays visible age-related wear consistent with decades of use. Areas of fabric wear, thinning, discoloration, and surface abrasion are present throughout, with a notable area of fabric loss at one arm as shown. Structurally sound and comfortable. Presents well overall and remains entirely usable in its current state, while also offering an excellent candidate for reupholstery.
