Authentic Art Deco "halo" table lamp by Chase Brass & Copper Company of Waterbury, Connecticut, circa 1930s. Marked with the iconic Chase centaur trademark at the base of the support arm.
The lamp features a striking circular chrome ring composed of stacked, reeded chrome bands, with the original socket suspended from the top inside the ring — a quintessential Machine Age design gesture. The ring sits on a stepped circular chrome base with concentric ring detailing. Pull-chain socket. Original cloth-covered cord and Bakelite plug.
Chase Brass & Copper Co.'s Specialty Sales Division (1930–1942) commissioned designs from leading American modernists including Walter Von Nessen, Russel Wright, and Lurelle Guild. Chase pieces are highly collected and documented in The Chase Era: 1930–1942 by Donald-Brian Johnson and Leslie Piña.
