The upper section is framed by a gallery of fluted Corinthian columns with brass capitals and bases, connecting two molded mahogany shelves. The lower section features four sides adorned with vertical brass moldings forming a grid, framing three tiers of shelves. The entire piece rests on a molded mahogany base, mounted on a central crossbar and original brass casters allowing for full rotation. Brass fittings are present around the edge of the upper shelf, on the fluting of the columns, the moldings, and the base.

The bookcase is entirely in its original condition, with a uniform patina consistent with the age of the piece. Minor wear consistent with age is noted. Brass polishing is available upon request and is offered as an option.
