This painting, titled "From the Garden" is a semi-abstract impressionistic oil painting on canvas by the popular Nordic zone artist Bente Bjerregaard (1932-2023). Through lyrical abstraction the artist offers expressive free flowing brushwork that emphasizes the emotion, spontaneity, and color of a spring garden. The artist's heavy impasto technique creates a bold, thick texture on the canvas, giving the floral subjects a three-dimensional quality. Shades of green, pink, and lavender soften the painting adding to the poetic and atmospheric mood. The artist's focus is on capturing the energy, light, and movement of the garden rather than precise botanical details.
Framed simply by the artist with a white- washed primitive strip frame the painting mixes effortlessly in any curated space. The painting is in very good condition and initialed front lower side of painting and signed and dated 2002 on the back.
