These two extraordinary people met each other while researching their own common ancestry. A friendship ignited and together, they formed the “Benevolent Press”, for showcasing, their unique talents. It is a hardcover book in four color. It is autographed by each artist Marjorie Schlossman and poet the Jamie Parsley.

Throughout the 110 pages are wonderful four color reproductions of each painting that goes hand and hand with each individual piece of art. Another words, as the poem on the adjoining page states of strong message, so does the Painting on the opposite side relate to the same. It’s a wonderful rendition of artistry.

Longtime friends Jamie Parsley and Majorie Schlossman have teamed up to combine poetry and paintings in this new book, S/O/M/A. Schlossman's abstract paintings inspired Parsley's "evocative" poetry, according to the book's description, to create an "interplay of color, movement and emotion." Parsley has written 16 poetry books and currently serves as a resident poet at Concordia College. Schlossman has exhibited her art extensively throughout the region and has collaborated with other artists on a number of projects. This is the second collaborative project between Parsley and Schlossman.
