Constructed in elmwood with beautifully hand-carved floral spandrels flanking both sides, the decorative carving alone elevates this piece well above standard import furniture.
Original brass hardware throughout — circular pull plates on the three upper drawers, hinged cabinet doors below with a traditional center lock plate — all showing an attractive aged patina consistent with genuine use and time.
The interior retains its original unfinished character, dark and dry with the honest atmosphere of a piece that has lived a full life. The exterior has been refinished at some point in its history, lending it a warm honey tone that reads beautifully in both traditional and contemporary interiors.
