This is mid-century british furniture design at its very best — understated, functional and quietly elegant.
finished in a warm birch veneer with a beautifully pronounced linear grain. The flush drawer fronts, original brushed aluminium handles and slim steel legs on a dark plinth base are all exactly as they should be, giving the piece that clean, considered quality that defines the very best mid-century furniture. The low gallery rail along the top is one of those small details that reveals just how carefully the reids thought through every aspect of the design.
one owner from new, having lived in the same room its entire life. In honest, unrestored condition with age-related wear, as shown in the last few images, and has simply been polished.
