The rectangular pine storage box features a lift-top lid and handles on each side crafted from patinated iron. The house is decorated with neoclassical architecture and Greco-Roman motifs. The painted exterior features painted walls, a central pedimented entrance, dark cornices, classical columns, arched and rectangular sash windows, stonework details, roof details, and potted topiary urns. The painted exterior is rendered in soft shades of ochre, charcoal, burgundy, cream, gray, and green. The painted finish has a desirable weathered distressed patina as seen in photos with an aged country English provincial farmhouse aesthetic. The chest is fitted with a hinged lid and a projecting plinth base slightly raised on concealed feet. The clean interior could serve as a blanket chest, side table, drinks table, coffee table, or decorative display.
