Designed as an encoignure, this piece was built to nest neatly into the corner of a room while providing practical storage and elegant architectural presence.

The cabinet features a shaped triangular top above a pair of molded paneled doors adorned with original iron hardware. The doors are framed by substantial stiles and rails and rest above a graceful scalloped apron, all characteristic of the Louis XV period and the relaxed interpretation of courtly design found in the French countryside.

Rich walnut tones, centuries of use, and a naturally developed patina lend warmth and authenticity throughout. Hand-planed boards remain visible on the sides and back, while traditional pegged joinery and forged iron hardware speak to its craftsmanship.
