Manufactured November 28, 2001, as documented by the original Herman Miller production label on the underside of the shell.

Designed by Charles and Ray Eames and introduced by Herman Miller in 1956, the Eames Lounge Chair was conceived to feel like a well-worn baseball glove — a piece of furniture offering the warmth of a beloved club chair with the formal elegance of modern design. Nearly 70 years later it remains in continuous production and in a class of its own.
