This atmospheric work depicts a classic Venetian maritime vista, featuring a lone gondolier navigating the waters in the foreground while the magnificent domes and campanile of Santa Maria della Salute rise through a soft, hazy sunset sky. Artwork: The watercolour on paper is in very good antique condition. The pigments remain beautifully preserved with soft, subtle pinks and lavenders in the sky, showing no major foxing or moisture damage. The fine detailing remains perfectly intact.

Frame: Presented behind glass in its original period giltwood frame with a running foliate border. There is an area of historic gesso/plaster loss on the bottom-right corner tip, exposing the structural wood underneath, along with minor hairline cracking consistent with age.
