Pair of Italian opaline glass wall lights produced circa 1970 and preserved in remarkable new old stock condition.
These compact fixtures combine thick white opaline glass diffusers with original Bakelite supports and ceramic lamp holders, creating a design that is both functional and visually restrained. Their simple cylindrical geometry reflects the timeless approach that characterized much of Italian lighting during the late Modernist period.
A particularly practical feature is the integrated switch located directly on each fixture, allowing independent operation without requiring a dedicated wall switch. This makes them especially suitable as bedside wall lights, reading lamps, hallway lighting or architectural accent lighting.
The thick opaline glass creates a soft and evenly diffused illumination, while the contrasting black and white finishes reinforce the clean graphic character of the design.
Suitable for both wall and ceiling installation.
