An authentic 19th-century antique copper pot/boiler, highly suited today as a rustic fireplace log bin, kindling scuttle, or statement planter.This piece showcases exceptional old-world craftsmanship, including prominent interlocking cramp/dovetail seams secured with visible brass solder, a wire-rolled top rim, and heavy riveted side handles.
The Cramp Seam: The hand-brazed zigzag vertical seam.
The Heavy Copper Disc: The reinforced heat-patch on the underside.
The Hand-Hammered Rivets: The large, irregular copper fasteners holding the iron brackets in place.
The interior retains its classic silvery-grey tin/zinc lining, while the underside features a heavy reinforced central base plate showing authentic charring and verdigris oxidation from historic open-hearth use.
