Nguyen Thanh Son is a contemporary Modernist Vietnamese artist working in oil painting and the traditional folk art medium of woodblock printing on rice paper. Born in 1959 in Pleiku, Vietnam, he went on to graduate from the Hue Fine Arts School in 1987. The artist currently lives and work in Hanoi, Vietnam.
