Burmese “Kun-it” lacquerware tray, crafted with the traditional sgraffito engraving lacquer technique in different colors on a black background,
The surface is richly adorned with vegetal scrolls and featuring around with animals that create a sense of peace and harmony: Rabbits, different types of birds and butterflies which executed with fine incised lines typical of Burmese lacquer artistry.
This is an authentic piece it has signs of wear and traces of use, appears to have been intensively used many years ago. I estimate it is from the mid 20th century, circa 1950-1970. Dimensions 15.75"L X 11"W 1"H
