Beautiful pair of antique Indonesian Rice Goddesses (Dewi Sri). Revered in Java, Bali & Lombok for her role as the goddess of rice, fertility & prosperity. Hand- hewn, carved and painted. What masterful folk art!
Measures 60.5” tall, 9.5” wide at widest point & 8” deep at feet. One goddess hands have been chipped and the other has much more surface wear to her face. Please examine pics. None of the wear detracts from the impressive display this pair will make in any room, in my opinion!
