A rare and unique piece, it brings a touch of british manor house library to a contemporary or country-chic interior.

materials: stained solid wood.

features: this glass-fronted bookcase is distinguished by its upper cornice adorned with a finely carved dentil frieze, an emblematic motif of the english classical repertoire. The single door opens inwards on brass hinges, and the tightly woven glass panel (3 columns x 5 rows) offers complete visibility of the interior shelves while protecting the displayed objects from dust. The base rests on subtly curved feet. The interior, accessible along its entire height, houses five shelves, adjustable in height thanks to a rack and pinion system, for storing books, collections, or curiosities. The piece is narrow and perfectly freestanding, ideal for an entryway, hallway, or alcove.

restoration: as the bookcase was in excellent original condition, it was simply deep cleaned, then treated with linseed oil, and finally polished.
