materials: solid walnut and walnut burl.
features: this antique bookcase opens with two wire-mesh doors at the top. The doors close securely but do not require a lock. Inside, it has four full-length solid wood shelves, the height of which is adjustable via a rack and pinion system.
restoration: the bookcase was carefully sanded on the exterior and left in its raw wood state to preserve its authentic and natural appearance. The original wire mesh was retained. The entire piece was also treated against wood-boring insects and cleaned.
