An original German scissor-type wall lamp manufactured by the renowned company Kaiser Leuchten. A classic model with a folding accordion arm (scissor lamp), preserved in its original cream-colored factory finish.
The distinctive metal shade, the Bakelite switch at the head, and the solid industrial construction make this an excellent example of mid-20th-century German functional design. The lamp will look great in industrial, loft, and modernist interiors, as well as in vintage design collections.
This piece features a natural patina from use, localized scuffs, and signs of aging consistent with its period of origin. The original finish has not been restored. The scissor mechanism functions properly and allows for adjustment of the reach (50–120 cm) and the shade’s angle.
