The object is an elegant, hand-cast brass horse figurine, behind which is a stylized, two-wheeled horse-drawn carriage. The horse's musculature is beautifully sculpted with fine plasticity, conveying strength and poise. The carriage's funnel shape is decorative; it was often used as a keychain, flower vase, candy dish, or base for a decorative candle holder.
The entire object exhibits a golden-brown patina, with some areas of delicate, dark oxidation—a natural and value-enhancing characteristic of vintage brass objects.
