Pair of Kashmiri lamp bases in papier-mâché and painted wood.
Provenance: Kashmir, early 20th century.
The twisted base is painted with a delicate floral design in shades of yellow, orange, and red on a black background.
Condition:
Some marks on the wood, particularly around the edge of the base where the paint has chipped slightly.
The varnish is no longer entirely uniform.
The wiring with switch has been replaced.

Base diameter: 13 cm.
Foot/column diameter: approximately 5.5 cm.
