Magnificent vintage mirror from the mid-20th century, in the Venetian style. This exceptional piece is distinguished by its oval shape with delicately beveled edges, set within a sumptuous mirrored frame entirely handcrafted.
The frame features soft lines and a scalloped edge all around, enhanced at the top by an elegant ornamental pediment. The engraving, executed with great finesse directly on the reverse of the glass (intaglio technique), reveals a poetic design: a delicate basket of flowers, ears of wheat symbolizing prosperity, floral motifs, and charming garlands of pearls. This engraving creates a superb relief effect and a unique refraction of light, testifying to the skill of a master craftsman.
The entire structure is adorned and reinforced by eight period blown/molded glass rosettes, meticulously fixed.
A characterful, very bright room, ideal for adding a touch of historical charm and retro elegance to
an entrance, bedroom or contemporary living room.
