Stoneware sculpture by Gérard Bignolais (1937-2007)
Gérard Bignolais was a French artist and sculptor born on November 30, 1937, in Bourges and died on January 16, 2007, in Paris. He developed a body of work centered on sculpture, ceramics, and contemporary visual arts.
Active primarily from the 1970s onward, he exhibited in several galleries and cultural centers in France, notably in Paris, Suresnes, Fontainebleau, and Clamart. His work combined artistic experimentation, performance, and exploration of the human figure. He also collaborated with his wife, the painter Anne Moser, with whom he shared a studio and artistic projects.
