The piece is designed vertically and … Read more Antique Neapolitan Louis Philippe-style secretaire in mahogany veneer with a white statuary marble top. The piece is designed vertically and is divided into three functional sections: a drawer beneath the top in the upper section, while the central section features a large drop-down door concealing a small storage compartment. The lower section features two hinged doors enclosing a large space divided by a shelf. The two side posts and the central sections, both upper and lower, are adorned with relief carvings in a leaf motif. The interior is made of maple wood, and in addition to the drawers, there are other hidden compartments. General Condition: Restored by our master craftsmen using traditional shellac and alcohol-based varnish applied by hand. Provenance: Naples, 19th century. Dimensions: 108x48x166 cm.
