Originally a theatrical set, it consists of a wooden support on which rests a large, thick canvas on each side. Each canvas features a large landscape painting. One side depicts a mountain landscape with a large body of water (lake or sea) in the background; the other side shows a countryside scene with the entrance to a small village opening onto the sea in the distance.
The tones are quite luminous, and the contrasts are very interesting.
The thick, grainy stencil fabric gives the oil painting a rather unique texture.
The giant format makes this a very beautiful decorative object, both because of its size and the way it draws the viewer in.

The canvas is damaged in places, with snags and wear; the mountain landscape has a small area where the fabric has slightly sagged. The wooden support on which the canvas rests has been intentionally preserved to maintain its authenticity, but it would be worthwhile to trim it and create a beautiful, large frame to enhance the overall 210cm height.
