The cabinet has a rectangular, glass-protected top above two front doors decorated with richly colored scenic panels. The painted or lacquered panels depict a romantic landscape with architectural and garden imagery in deep plum, blue, ochre, and cream tones.

The warm wood veneer or figured grain is used to especially good effect across the frame, lower apron, and curved legs. A small central key escutcheon separates the doors, while the glass top offers a practical protective surface for display and everyday use.
