A terrific piece with echos of Jean Arp and Barbara Hepworth, this sculpture attributed to Kirill Bergart is an elliptical form which is pierced twice and mounted asymmetrically on its base. We love the tension created with the play in positive and negative space and the dynamism of the relationship of the sculpture and base.
We've seen other examples of this sculpture listed as brass, but we are not sure if it is brass with a beautiful patina or in fact bronze.
