Mid Century landscape featuring gulls flying over a snowy marsh by Lynn Clark Winans (American, 1897-1982). Signed "Lynn Winans" lower left. Artist logo on verso. Oil on board.
Lynn Clark Winans was born in Michigan on April 30, 1897. Winans spent most of his artistic career in San Diego, California. He specialized in painting plein air images of California landscapes and seascapes. While living in San Diego he made frequent trips to the desert area near Palm Springs. His works were exhibited widely in the San Diego area.
