A pair of antique Chinese table lamps in a dark brown soapstone with streaks of lighter, cream-colored veins that are intricately carved into decorative pearlescent flower buds that look eerily like pink and white seashells (probably the so-called “Shell Ginger” plant that is native to East Asia, including China, and prominent in traditional Chinese medicine and cuisine), a tiny creature clamoring along thick woody vines, traditional Chinese finials, brass fittings, a pair of pull-chain light sockets and ivory pleated bell-shaped fabric shades. No maker’s mark.
