This is a beautiful pair of framed engravings that are just stunning and sweet. Showing scenes of life of a woman sewing and a man transporting his harvest, they are elegant and historic and I love the personality they bring to a space. I just love their simplicity that is enhanced with a double-mat in ivory and deep teal, and further enhanced with the stunning bamboo frames with a finish that looks to be both silver and gold at the same time. I haven't seen anything like them before, but they are a gorgeous pair and would look just lovely in any decor!
The script indicates an English publication dating May 4, 1799.
There are a few spots where the frames show very faint wear, but I think a simple touch up could be done to minimize that and I’ll leave that up to the buyer.
Their overall size is 15 1/2” x 14 1/2”.
