Designed in the 1960s under the art direction of Nils Thorsson, the Tenera line gave a select group of young Scandinavian female artists complete creative freedom. This magnificent piece features the distinct, vibrant abstract bird and floral motif of celebrated Norwegian ceramicist Kari Christensen. Rendered in rich, deeply saturated cobalt blues, earthy purples, and striking pooling green glazes, it perfectly encapsulates the joyful, bold spirit of mid-century Danish design.
The underside of the tray is fully documented and impeccably marked with the Royal Copenhagen three-wave stamp, the mold and pattern numbers 149 / 2744, and Christensen’s distinct hand-painted intertwined "RC" artist monogram.
