Condition: Very good work from the period. Structurally sound and balanced. Many production imperfections based on the material of its handmade organic form. The rattan vases or basket are evenly coiled with space visible between them. Surface color irregularities. The top of the rattan vases (plant holders or baskets) are not level, especially the lower three as evident in the photographs. The object is very light weight and easy to move.
Note: If not used as a plant or object stand, the work can be appreciated as a sculptural form. I have set plates by Maarten Baas (Inner Circle collection) on top of the vase forms and one soup bowl to create a mostly level-looking surface for plants and objects. While the space it is set in is eclectic in style, it is an urban environment and this craft piece, with its overall mahogany color, adds an unexpected material and form. See less
