An antique French sterling silver and vermeil or gilt wash tea strainer C 1900. The beautiful over the cup style strainer has a delicate handle with Acanthus leaf and Bell-flower motifs. The bowl of the strainer also has Bell-flower motifs.

French, sterling silver of .950 denoted by the Minerva 1st standard mark, Maker’s mark CB for Charles Barrier (a gaiter, a star above), mark registered 1905.
