Can a cloud be silly? This one is, she is always joking, lagging behind the other clouds spending too much time looking down at the world, full of fun and joy and silliness. Are clouds not just what we perceive them to be? Can a cloud be contemplative, hopeful, peaceful, silly? We bring our own perspective to all art. It is just important that we feel something when we look at it. If it brings us some emotion, then it is art.

This Silly Cloud - original art work is painted with layers of Oil Paint, over layers of Venetian Plaster on a wood board, framed with an ornate silver frame with raw umber flecks, framed by an Italian artisan framer. It is small and goes wonderfully alone, simple and pure or mixed with other art and photos on a gallery wall. The sky is possibly a bit paler than it looks in these photos. The sky color is King's Blue Light mixed with white . There is also a faded pink in the pale blue. The cloud is white, gray and pale pink. See less
