Smudged signature and date (1970) lower right, and hand-signed on the reverse
Size: 39.7 x 22 cm (object) or 50 x 50 cm (with frame)
Weight: approximately 3.4 kg
Provenance: formerly in the collection of Hans-Joachim Müller (1925 Dresden - ?), Germanist, teacher, head of the “Literature and Art” working group at the Weidig Gymnasium in Butzbach, editor of the three-volume book series “Butzbach Artist Interviews” (1980-82).

Hermann Tomada
Sculptor, painter, draftsman, printmaker.
Initially an apprentice in mechanical engineering (1921-25), he then worked as a race car mechanic and co-driver, and continued as a cyclist, canoeist, and boxer.
1938-44 Cologne School of Applied Arts
1949-56 Assistant to Prof. Hermann Geibel at the Technical University of Darmstadt
Awards/Honors:
1964 Bronze Plaque of the German Federal Bank (Frankfurt am Main)
1969 The Fine Art International Association (New York, USA) awarded him the title of Master of Fine Art
1972 Johann Heinrich Merck Prize of the City of Darmstadt
1974 Silver Palm of the International Arts Guild, Monte Carlo
1980 Friendship Plaque of the City Twinning Association, City of Darmstadt
