The horse "Mohican" shown here was born in 1877 and belonged to Major Bunbury. The jockey for the horse was Harry Beasley. At the 1883 Grand National, "Mohican" took third place.

Painter
Initially a self-taught artist.
from 1905 to 1910, he studied at the Heatherley School of Fine Art and the Royal Academy.
Paice primarily painted depictions of dogs and horses, as well as hunting scenes. Among these were many portraits of racehorses and polo ponies (e.g., "Marsh Mallow," "Helen," "Bath Bun").
