Each cup is stamped with the C C cipher for Charles Christofle accompanied by the scales hallmark. This mark was replaced after 1935 by the O C (Orfèvre Christofle) stamp, placing these examples firmly in the earlier production period.

Notably, these egg cups feature weighted bases, a characteristic more typical of earlier, higher-quality Christofle production and less frequently encountered in later mid-century designs. The rims are decorated with a restrained Napoleon III frieze, consistent with late 19th to early 20th-century aesthetic preferences.

Condition; Very good for the period. The silver plate remains strong, with only minor surface micro-abrasions consistent with careful domestic use. No dents or structural issues observed.
