Up for sale is an extremely rare natural untreated DOUBLE STAR ruby and diamond platinum ring.

This magnificent ring features a unique center star ruby showing one of the rarest natural phenomena which is a double star effect.
Star effect, asterism, is a rare phenomena known in rubies and sapphires. It is caused a combination of crystal structure, inclusions and cutting style.
All of the above coming together is a rare occurrence which creates a star in a stone.
A double star is exceptionally rare since the inclusions have to align perfectly in a way that will split the light reflecting back to create a 12 ray star.
On top of being very rare, this star ruby is also massive, weighing 14.26 carats, it can't be missed and looks very impressive on the finger.

Such star rubies are of the rarest of stars, they tend to be exceptionally beautiful as they are great investment stones.
At certain lights, the star isn't visible; however, you'll have a beautiful cabochon ruby that reveals a wonderful star surprise when exposed to daylight or warm incandescent light environment.

On top of the beautiful rare star, this ring is also set with fine diamonds on the sides, adding to the uniqueness of the piece.
