The Herman Devries design: the curved backrest with elongated oval cut out handles. The two small horn finials at the top corners. The sculpted saddle seats. The splayed sawn legs. And mortise and tenon wood joinery. Cushman dissolved in 1971. So these and matched sets are very difficult to find. Mine have been stained with a gel stain in a dark espresso, bean color to make them feel more elegant and contemporary.

Excellent condition no cracks no wobbling solid construction. Any flaws pictured are simply in the gel stain application wearing off revealing the original maple color underneath.
