Shaped teak top, turned oak legs with brass tips. Scandinavian production from the 1950s and 1960s.
The biomorphic silhouette and light proportions recall the organic exploration that pervaded Nordic design in the 1950s and 1960s, in dialogue with international influences linked to American modernism. The teak top features an irregular and fluid profile, accentuated by the slender turned oak legs with brass tips. The asymmetrical composition gives the piece a sculptural presence that is unusual compared to the more rigorous Scandinavian minimalism. Good condition. May show signs of aging.
