Strongly connected to his heritage, nasuti infuses this lighting fixture with over 30 years of experience and artistic sensibility gained in the luxury fashion and haute couture industries. Here, textile matter is treated with the exact precision reserved for a bespoke gown, reimagined to frame and diffuse an intimate, highly theatrical light.

the production process & the two-panel technique
each individual wall sconce is meticulously handcrafted in the designer’s studio in parma, italy, through a complex process divided into three distinct stages:

double sartorial draping: unlike the campanula model, the structure of "genziana" comes to life using two separate 100% pure wool panels. The panels are meticulously layered, manually manipulated, and hand-stitched with needle and thread. This stratification allows for a tighter control over an increased number of drapes and creases, giving the artwork a richer geometric density. The base is secured with high-tenacity adhesives, utilizing temporary structural wires removed only after curing.

crystallization & curing metamorphosis: once the hand-stitching is complete, the piece undergoes high-temperature industrial powder coating and thermal curing. This avant-garde treatment triggers an alchemical transformation: the wool entirely loses its original flexibility and hardens, becoming rigid, structurally sound, and solid to the touch, much like plastic.

sensory contrast: despite its newfound structural rigidity, the surface visually preserves every raw detail of heavy, felted wool, including the yarn's characteristic "peeling" effect. This creates a captivating sensory short circuit: the eye perceives the fluid motion of a soft fabric, while the hand encounters the solid permanence of a sculpture.

bespoke customization & finishes
true to the brand's philosophy, "genziana" is a tailored sconce produced exclusively made-to-order. To seamlessly integrate into high-end residential and luxury contract interior design projects, the finish is fully customizable: clients and architects can request the industrial coating in any color from the official ral chart (such as the mustard ochre or vibrant green versions).

engineering & atmospheric light
the sconce is conceived as an artwork that projects intimate, dramatic shadows. It comes standard with a 2w led flickering flame bulb that mimics candlelight, emphasizing the depth and shadows of the layered textile drapes. Upon request, the light source can be configured (free of charge) with steady-light led bulbs (warm or cool tones) from 2w up to 6w. The internal electrical system is built entirely with premium ce-certified components and includes a structural grounding wire. Proudly 100% handcrafted in italy.
