A magnificent hard-paste porcelain candlestick featuring a central woman, depicting the muse of poetry, embellished with numerous porcelain flowers in relief, hand-applied in the second firing. Hand-decorated and glazed, it is signed under the base in blue underglaze with the Plaue mark. Made in Germany in the Art Nouveau style in the early decades of the 20th century. The soft colors, such as light blue, pink, light blue, and green, are beautiful, in true Art Nouveau style. The patina covering the piece is excellent, and the woman's face is particularly beautiful. The candlestick is well-sized, standing 31.5 centimeters tall, and I can assure you it will look stunning on a piece of furniture. Finally, the numerous relief flowers that completely cover the piece are superb, creating a striking visual effect.
