Dating from the mid-20th century (ca. 1950-1970), this ensemble consists of two square corner pieces (piédestaux) and two lower, elongated planters (jardinières). This configuration was frequently used as a structural partition or parapet for elevated terraces, creating a rhythmic sequence reminiscent of a classical balustrade. Crafted from French limestone (vraisemblablement Pierre de Bourgogne), the planters feature a rich, weathered patina with natural lichen. The design blends classical orangerie influences with the cleaner lines typical of mid-century manor house architecture.
