An antique art nouveau pewter bottle holder created by Archibald Knox (1864 - 1933) for Liberty & Co, London. Dated circa 1905 and featuring the makers signature on the base, raised on four lug feet with stylised bud and foliage cut out detailing around the body, this refined example of aesthetic movement metalware was primarily designed as a butter dish, originally featuring with a small glass insert which is sadly missing from this listing, and has been repurposed as an elegant bottle holder and it could be styled as a pillar candle holder if paired with an appropriate replacement insert.
