Antique Neapolitan polychrome wooden sculpture depicting Saint Joseph with the Child, dating from the 18th century. The work portrays Saint Joseph in an intimate and affectionate moment of contemplation, seated and leaning against a rock, while the Child stands beside him, dressed in a red garment with a draped blue mantle. The dynamic drapery and chromatic contrasts between ochre and blue are typical of the refined sculptural production of mature Neapolitan Baroque.
General condition: Requires restoration.
