The painting was recently acquired from the estate of a private collector of Berea‘s works in the eastern United States, which explains its elegant vintage frame and artist name plate displayed at the bottom of the frame. After consulting with Berea‘s preeminent biographer, it was clear that this beautiful painting belonged to the earlier period of his career in Romania due to the colors and brush strokes which he used to create this vivid image of a house nestled among lush trees.
