Painted by well known Southwest artist, Sid Cedargreen (1906-1995), this piece captures the Sonoran desert of the Tubac Wiekenburg, Arizona area. This dramatic work features an imposing saguaro cactus set against billowing sunset coral clouds, turquoise sky and distant mountain range, evoking a sense of vastness and solitude.

Painted in the mid 20th century, the framed piece measures 34” width by 28” height. The canvas is 28” wide and 22” high. It is in very good condition and has a few very thin vertical cracks. The work is signed by the artist on the front. It is also noted on the back of the canvas frame with the handwritten title of the painting, the artist’s name, the location where it was painted and his copyright protection notes.
