A beautifully preserved set of four antique, early-20th-century solid tiger oak dining chairs. Anchored by a classic Arts and Crafts or Mission-style silhouette, these chairs feature a sturdy three-slat back and distinctive, sweeping curved side supports that add an elegant architectural line to their utilitarian farmhouse roots.
The true standout of this set is the old-growth tiger oak grain. The wood has been recently deep-cleaned, hydrated with a golden oak tint, and carefully hand-waxed to revive its natural, organic luster without erasing a century of history. They carry a rich, moody patina that embraces a Wabi-Sabi aesthetic, providing the perfect grounding element for a curated, high-low dining space that rejects sterile, mass-produced design. Finding a complete, matching set of four from this era that has survived together is incredibly rare, making them a fantastic, ready-to-stage addition to any interior.

The set has been intentionally refreshed—cleaned, conditioned, and hand-waxed—to preserve its history and patina rather than over-restore it. Wood & Finish: The chairs exhibit gorgeous natural grain contrast. There are minor, superficial edge chips and a few faint, barely noticeable historical paint speckles consistent with a century of use. Structure & Joinery: There is some slight visual gapping at the leg sockets, which is a natural result of antique wood shrinking and settling over time. However, the dowels are firmly seated, and the chairs are incredibly sturdy and structurally sound. Functionality: Fully functional, level, and ready for daily use. less
